He was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Altiris, Inc., a Utah-based global software company where, as a company executive, he managed a legal function responsible for all legal aspects of Altiris's operations worldwide. He also helped establish operating subsidiaries throughout Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America and designed, implemented, and administered a global legal and ethics compliance program while also serving as the company's Chief Compliance Officer.

Prior to Altiris, Mr. Christensen was Associate General Counsel at Novell, Inc. where he was lead counsel for Novell Ventures with responsibility for Novell's M&A and venture financing transactions. He also served as division counsel for Novell Customer Services and lead counsel for Novell global sales where he helped design global licensing programs and negotiated numerous software license and services agreements, including OEM, distribution, and supplier agreements.

Mr. Christensen also lived and worked in New Zealand for 4 years as Area Legal Counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Australia-Pacific region, where he was responsible for all legal matters affecting the Church and its affiliated entities in Australia, New Zealand and 20 other Pacific Area countries. In that role he advised senior management, directors and employees, hired and managed local counsel, and liaised with U.S. diplomatic and local government officials in an effort to protect and advance the Church's interests while working to ensure the Church's legal and regulatory compliance in conducting numerous domestic and cross-border activities, including establishing and maintaining legal entities; real estate leasing, acquisition and development; commercial transactions; intellectual property licensing and enforcement; employment and outsourcing; immigration/customs; and government relations. He also managed the Church's litigation, which included commercial, real estate, employment, and intellectual property disputes in the courts and administrative tribunals of Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island countries.
